Welcome to the 2017 edition of Patagonia Run Mountain Hardwear!
Reaffirming our commitment to all of you, the runners, and in response to your suggestions, we have been working extremely hard since the end of the 2016 edition in order to add a new race distance: the 145 km!
In effect, this year Patagonia Run Mountain Hardwear will include 7 race distances: along with the brand-new 145 km, we have introduced some modifications to the 130 km turning it into a new course of 125 km. The other race distances (100 km, 70 km, 42 km, 21 km and 10 km) remain the same.
However, we have introduced some significant changes in the 42 km course and in the other ultra-trail distances: the 42 km course will reach the summit of the Colorado Hill, while the other ultra-race courses will reach the summit of the Quilanlahue Hill in the first half of the race, as in former editions.
Furthermore, we have extended the cut-off times for all race distances. The time limit for the 145 km is 29 hours. Runners participating in the 145 km race distance will meet at the start line located at San Martín Square on Friday, April 7th at 6:00 p.m.
As usual, we will reward our loyal runners with special rates according to the times they have participated in previous editions. The qualification points attributed by the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) will remain the same for all course distances (from 42 km onwards), taking into account the new scale of points.
This is just the first update that we wanted to share with you, and we still have more news that will be released in the following months, since we want to make the 2017 edition a memorable experience!
