De eindwinst ging al voor de 11de keer naar Gert Mertens. Eric Bartholomeeusen waagde zich voor het eerst aan de uitdaging om in 1 seizoen 12 marathons\/ultralopen af te werken en eindigde meteen op plaats 2 voor Spartathlon finisher Pauwel Joos. Dominique Pattyn en Thierry De Block vervolledigden de top 5.
Leonie Ton wist beslag te leggen op plaats 7. Zij was daarmee de eerste vrouw en de eerste Nederlandse in de eindstand.
