La Trans Gaule was zeer actief vooraf, maar op het moment dat we op UltraNED ook op de hoogte wilden blijven over het verloop van deze etappeloop, haakte de organisatie af. Na de vele vooraankondigingen heeft u dus afgelopen augustusmaand niets meer van ons vernomen. We kregen nog een verslagje in het Engels van een Amerikaanse deelnemer via de organisatie, maar daarvan bleek dat we dat niet mochten publiceren omdat een Amerikaans loopblad daarvan de rechten opeistte. Gelukkig hadden we toen nog niets gepubliceerd. Maar als u enige nuances in onderstaande tekst meent te kunnen lezen heeft u bij deze een globale indruk van de achtergrond.<\/p>\n
A second edition of the Transe Gaule will be held next year beetween the Wednesday 28 th of August and the Saturday 14 th of September.The race will follow the same course.It means 18 days,18 stages.With the start at the bottom of the lighthouse in Roscoff (Brittany),and the finish on the beach of Narbonne at the Mediterranean Sea.
\nThis coast to coast race is a good way to discover the diversity of the french countryside.Every day a different scenery,a different architecture,a different
\nwine.Only on small roads with a law trafic.
\n1150 km to run,with a daily average of 63 k a day,and
\nthe lowest speed will have to be 6 k an hour.
\nRegistration will be begin in December.We won’t accept more than 35 runners.Entry-fee will be 900 Euros.
