Description
Starting at Peace Village in Mesen you run towards the green woods and fields of Palingbeek, just south of Ypres. From there you continue to Polygoon Wood, Passchendaele Memorial Gardens, passing the cemetery of Tyne Cot. You run through the beautiful marshes of de Blankaart before you enter Diksmuide, approaching the Yser Tower. A long straight former railroad track brings you to the edge of Nieuwpoort, where you will navigate to the water locks at the Ganzepoot and the Albert 1 Memorial site before heading to the mouth of the Yser and finishing on the beach.

Difficulty Level
The track is not very technical and there is not a lot of elevation gain. The main difficulties concern running exposed to weather for a prolonged time and the mental impact of long endless stretches of land. Beware of traffic when crossing roads.
