A few minutes ago almost 300 participants started for the six hours. Just talkt to Anke Drescher (GER) she is in a doubt, so lets hope she find inspiration during this race to enjoy ultrarunning, a sport that brought much to het live.
Jan Vandendriessche was doubting only about his shoes, which implies he has something in mind. Roger Neckebroeck from Belgium -M60 age group- was again at the start; he did participate all editions up till now. It was obviously to much to hear everything; the day will tell us how things will go.
If unexpected things hapen, you will be the first to know, but lets hope nothing serious happens! I believe one hour and a half or two hours is fine to report a first intermediate result list.
First lap report: Alain Bourdon (BEL) was leading, followed with a gap of about 40 meters: Rainer Lindeman (GER) and Jan Vandendriessche (BEL), with a large gap to the rest of the field. Birgit Lennarts is leading in the womens race. She is realy motivated to perform. Het opponent Anni Loensad (DEN) follows only a few seconds later.

Met bijna 300 mensen gingen we van start enkele minuten geleden. Ieder had zijn of haar verhaal over de verwachtingen van deze dag. Te veel om alles in te typen. Omdat vrijwel elke Nederlander ook Engels kan lezen, zal ik in de Nederlandse bijdrage wat andere zaakjes melden. Dat scheelt tijd, zodat het sneller op het net komt. Bij belangrijke ontwikkelingen zorgen wij dat u zo snel mogelijk op de hoogte geraakt van de stand van zaken. Na anderhalf of twee uur wordt het interessant om de eerste tussenstand te publiceren.
