The weather is fine, about 12 degrees Celsius, a bit of the sun comes through. The weather forecast predicted no sun (so they are wrong on this point) and rain (let us hope they are wrong on this to!).

A few minutes ago almost 300 participants started for the six hours. Just talkt to Anke Drescher (GER) she is in a doubt, so lets hope she find inspiration during this race to enjoy ultrarunning, a sport that brought much to het live.

A number of people are following the race on line. For those: Jan Vandandriessche took over the leading position from Alain Bourdon, who is now second, with Rainer Lindemann in third position. Next a group with great names, like Wim Epskamp, Paul Beckers, Veron Lust, Philip Verdonc etcetera.

I just took a look at the changed part of the loop; it is slippery there, and rain does not change the mud at those places in the right way. Knowing this, the performances are even better as they already look as numbers and digits on a list!
