Dear Friends,
We would like to thank all of you who have responded with enthusiasm to the
announcement of the first edition of the Rome 100k. The organization of the
event has been much more complex than we imagined and a lot of work is still
underway. For this reason and in order to guarantee the runners everything
that is necessary during a 100k, we have decided to postpone the race. We
feel that this will also ensure that we can offer the athletes and their
travel companions a memorable weekend of running and sightseeing in one of
the most beautiful cities in the world.
Therefore, in accordance with the Italian Ultramarathon and Trail
Association’s (IUTA) current calendar, the first edition of the Rome 100k
will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2004.
The race website http://www.augusto.it/rome100km/rome100km.htm, where you
can download the entry form and event rules, will be updated in the next few
days.

Cari amici,
ringraziamo tutti coloro che hanno risposto con entusiasmo alla notizia
della prima edizione della 100km di Roma.
Gli sforzi richiesti per l’organizzazione dell’evento sono stati molto piu’
grandi del previsto e molto lavoro e’ ancora in corso.
Per questo motivo, per garantire agli atleti tutto cio’ che e’ necessario
durante una 100km a circuito, per offrire agli atleti ed ai loro
accompagnatori la possibilita’ di trascorrere una bella giornata di sport ed
un fine settimana di turismo nella citta’ piu’ bella del mondo, il cominato
organizzatore ha stabilito di posticipare la data dell’evento.
Quindi, in accordo con la bozza del calendario IUTA (Italian Ultramarathon
and Trail Association) la data della prima edizione della 100km di Roma e’
fissata per sabato 17 aprile 2004
Nei prossimi giorni verra’ aggiornato il sito
http://www.augusto.it/rome100km/rome100km.htm dove poter scaricare il
regolamento e il modulo per le iscrizioni.
