At 7:35 a.m. the Dutch National Championship 100K started. The start was postponed for 5 minutes, taking one minute silence to remember Guus Smit, the Dutch Ultramarathon Runner who died yesterday by a fall in to the depth during the Grand Raid Reunion, on the French island in the Indian Ocean.
During the race we will give intermediate results at regular times. Due to the five minutes shift of the starting time, it might that we present intermediate results that must be corrected by five minutes, if so we will report this in conjunction to the numbers.
Due to the fact that it is a Dutch Championship, I will probably do most of my reporting in Dutch.
