6-day race in Denmark, August 2003

Jesper Olsen informs us about a six day race to come in Denmark.

Hello Anton Smeets / Ultraned,

In these sad days of war, I have a (hopefully) positive challenge to the ultra-runners: During the last ½ year I have worked together with some friends in Denmark and abroad to stage an European 6-day race:
http://worldrun.org/6-day .

If you think that it wold be of interest to the Dutch & Belgian ultrarunners you are most wellcome to post some info’ about the race. We will be happy to see some of your runners at the start !

The race will be from 14:00 sunday the 3. of August to 14:00 saturday the 9.th of August.

The track is a measured 1,5km firm, flat, traffic-free, footpath in the main park of Central Copenhagen – so there should be pleanty of sightessing possibilities for those runners wich have the engergy for it !

The race is free of chage for international runners and we’ll try to accomodate the runners at (free) private housing. The field is limited to 15 runners. Minimum daily distance required to stay in the race is 42km.

Sign-up is through the e-mail at the race-website (6-day@worldrun.org)

More details of the race can be found on the website http://www.worldrun.org/6-day.

With the best wishes of good training sessions in the spring weather !
