{i}Samenvatting. Onderstaand de Engelstalige lijst van de Nederlandse ultralopen in 2006, zoals eind oktober 2005 bekend. Er worden ten behoeve van de buitenlandse UltraNed-bezoekers wat karakteristieken bij elke loop genoemd, zodat zij een indruk krijgen van het soort ultraloop.
Merk op dat recent voor twee lopen definitieve data zijn gekozen: de FAF Schinnen is op zondag 29/1 en de nieuwe Self Transcendence 100 km is op zaterdag 10/6/2006.{ei}

Below the current list of 26 ultra runs in The Netherlands for 2006. There are 18 runs on loops varying between 0.4 km (track) and 10 km, plus 8 landscape runs on loops or sections of 21 km up to 500 km.
Each run is denoted with its geographical name of the start (& finish) site printed in bold. The (J-C) marking means that the loop is officially measured by a federation official with a bike equipped with a calibrated Jones/Oerth-Counter. Check for all details the run info on the websites that are listed, although these may not have been fully updated yet for the 2006 edition.
Please note that the email addresses are written with the @ sign substituted by the word ‘provider’, in order to make these addresses less vulnerable for automatic internet search programs that generate address lists for spam mailings.

The following ultraruns are {b}official KNAU races{eb}, in chronological order: Steenbergen 6 hrs, Stein 24 & 6 hrs, Den Helder 80 km, Diever 100 km, Apeldoorn 24 & 6 hrs, Den Haag 12 & 6 hrs, Brielle 50 km, Winschoten 100 km, Deventer 100 km and Heerde 6 hrs (the latter two are track races). Possibly, the 6 hour runs in Hoofddorp and Amersfoort will also apply for the race status in 2006, but it is unknown whether this has already happened.
Besides this current list of 26 ultraruns in total for The Netherlands 2006, it could well be that there will be one or more runs in addition, like the Frisian Eleven Cities Ultrarun 205 km (if this run happens, it will start in Leeuwarden on Friday 9 June 2006).
Noteworthy is also the O-o-o… Course organised by Ton Smeets, two days of ultra trails along the Ourthe in Belgium on 29 + 30 July 2006. See the ‘Kalender’ section for more details.
The 120/60 km around {b}Texel{eb} is biannual (and twinned with the Jan Knippenberg Memorial) so will reappear on Easter Monday 9 April 2007. The Six Hours {b}Epe{eb} is twinned with the Six Hours Heerde and will be organised at the end of this year 2005 and then reappear at the end of 2007.
